13-y-o Manchester girl dies after being hit by vehicle

The Manchester police are investigating the death of a teen girl who died after being hit by a vehicle on Friday.
She has been identified by the police as 13-year-old Lakeea Thompson , who lived in the parish.
She was a student at Victor Dixon High School in the parish.
Reports are that about 3:35 p.m. on Friday, Thompson was in May Day district in Manchester when she was ran over by a truck.
She was assisted to hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The 45-year-old driver of the truck was warned for prosecution.
The Mandeville Traffic Department is conducting an investigating in the matter.
