'Voice' fatally shot by police in St Elizabeth, INDECOM investigating
The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) is probing the shooting death of a man by police in Windsor district in Siloah, St Elizabeth on Wednesday.
He has been identified as Christopher Black, otherwise called 'Voice', a labourer of Windsor district.
The police reported that about 6:40 a.m., personnel went to the area in search of gunmen, drugs, and ammunition.
According to the police, the team was challenged by Black, who they say was armed with a handgun.
The police say the fire was returned, during which Black was shot and injured.
The police reported that a .38 revolver loaded with one round of .38 cartridge ammunition was seized.
Black was taken to the Black River Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
