Emergency crews responding to bus crash on Highway 2000

Traffic police and emergency crews are now on the East-West corridor of Highway 2000 responding to a major vehicular crash.
The Gleaner understands that the crash, which occured shortly after 3 p.m., involved a public passenger bus and caused injury to several persons.
An eyewitness told The Gleaner that some persons were lying motionless and are feared dead.
Several persons were reportedly flung from the bus.
Persons were heard begging for medical assistance.
There have been 337 road fatalities from 297 road crashes recorded since the start of the year.
