St Catherine woman fined, ordered to do 100 hours of community service after boisterous conduct over illegal parking

A St Catherine woman was today fined a total of $37,000 and ordered to undertake 100 hours of community service for her boisterous conduct after she was confronted by the police for parking illegally.
Gayan Black was charged with disorderly conduct, abusive and calumnious language, making a threat, no insurance, and failure to produce a driver’s licence.
She was represented by attorneys-at-law Donahue Martin and Carole Phillips.
The court heard that on Monday, August 24, 2026, Black was parked in an unauthorised area when she was approached by the police.
During the police intervention, she behaved in a boisterous manner and refused to show her licence.
Black was subsequently arrested and charged.
