Jamaican police seize guns, ammunition in Waterford curfew

The police say they seized five guns and more than 80 rounds of ammunition during a curfew in sections of Waterford, Portmore over the weekend.
The curfew followed an incident on Thursday in which five men were shot and killed by gunmen in Portsmouth, St Catherine.
The police say that in addition to the curfew the Police/Military team also conducted other operational initiatives including cordons and coordinated raids and searches.
They also established vehicle and personnel check points.
The police say 12 persons including one woman were taken into custody.
