Cabaret singer steps into the spotlight with ‘Love Again’

After years of captivating audiences on cabaret stages with her heartfelt performances and interpretations of popular songs, emerging singer Cam Clarke is embarking on an exciting new chapter, launching her recording career with the release of her début original single, Love Again.

For Clarke, music has always been far more than entertainment. It has been a source of healing, purpose and connection with people. While performing live taught her how to command an audience and communicate emotion, recording original music has given her the opportunity to tell her own stories in a deeply personal way.

“Music has always been my passion,” she said. “It’s helped me through difficult experiences in my own life, and now I want my music to do the same for other people.”

Although she describes herself as naturally reserved and never one to seek the spotlight, years of encouragement, particularly from producer Joshua Clarke, gave her the confidence to embrace her own artistry.

“There wasn’t one defining moment,” she explained. “I simply realised it was time to stop holding back, step out of my comfort zone and trust the journey.”

Produced by Joshua Clarke, Love Again introduces her signature blend of smooth contemporary reggae infused with warmth, vulnerability and authenticity. She says her goal is to create music that connects with listeners on a personal level.

“I don’t try to sound like anyone else,” she said. “Authenticity is very important to me. I may not be the best singer in the world, but I want people to hear me and know it’s genuinely me.”

The transition from live performance to the recording studio brought its own challenges. Clarke admits learning to become vulnerable behind the microphone, trusting the creative process and letting go of perfectionism tested her emotionally. Yet, those experiences have made this new chapter even more rewarding.

“Making mistakes, learning and growing have all been part of the process,” she said. “This is a leap of faith but I believe creating meaningful music is part of my purpose.”

While cabaret performances allowed her to connect with audiences in the moment, recording now gives Cam the opportunity to reach listeners around the world with music that carries lasting messages of hope, healing and resilience.

Encouraged by the positive response to Love Again, Clarke is currently working on additional original material, including another soon-to-be-released single titled Real Good Man.

Her long-term goal is simple: to create timeless music that resonates with people, inspires healing, and leaves a lasting impression.
