It must have been something juicy, or should we say 'saucy', that Levi Roots (second right) was telling, from left, his marketing manager Shah Khan, Bruce Loshusan and Peter Vanderleer at his product launch held at Devon House.

The room at the Devonshire, Devon House, was decorated in vivid shades of red, green, gold accented with eye-pleasing paintings, to create a very rootsy vibe for the launch of Keith 'Levi Roots' Graham's Reggae Reggae product line.

Levi Roots as he is known to most people, is a Jamaican-born Rasta man who lives in England with his family and has been creating waves with his Reggae Reggae sauces in the United Kingdom (UK). While Levi Roots hails from humble beginnings, he didn't let that get in the way of accomplishing his dreams. Today, he is a published author; he has a cooking television show and a whole range of products that have taken the UK market by storm. Now, as a Jamaican, it is only fitting that he is giving back to his country, so he launched his products on November 1, and they will now be available in local supermarkets.

It was amazing to see the huge turnout for the launch because, like a true celebrity, he entered the venue with a huge entourage. Quite the charismatic fellow, guests flocked him offering congratulations and salutations on his accomplishments.

Patrons got a chance to sample the Reggae Reggae products topped with drinks of their choice as they mingled and socialised. But when it came time to get down to business, everyone gathered around listening attentively to what he had to say. He spoke a little about his journey - the struggles he faced and how he made it to where he is today. He also spoke about his books and along with chef Christian Gishays he did a demonstration of how you can use his Reggae Reggae Jerk/Barbecue sauce on fish for a tasty Caribbean-inspired dish. A few patrons had the opportunity of winning a signed copy of his book. The formalities were brief, so patrons got a chance to enjoy the offerings.
