SAINT’s Romaine Dixon shoots new Daniel Simmons winter collection
Romaine Dixon is hot to trot in the winter collection for menswear designer Daniel Simmons.
The SAINT International model rocks the newest in elevated, minimalist men’s essentials from the English-based outfitter that had its 1.2 million social media followers abuzz when the campaign’s visuals dropped a week ago.
Shot last month in The Big Apple, Dixon dons a tailored wardrobe of wool cashmere coats, Colorado jackets, pleated trousers, flannel and draped shirts, wax work jackets, and cashmere scarves.
“It was a fun shoot, but probably the coldest day in December that we were working,” Dixon recounted of the Aiden Herron-lensed project on which Simmons pulled double duty as stylist. “We shot in different parts of Tribeca, SoHo, and West Village.”
Dixon’s booked job for the uber-hot Simmons, a major fashion influencer-turned-designer, known for his minimalist, neutral-toned aesthetic, marks a buzzworthy moment as the latter further expands his business and cultural reach stateside, having debuted a summer store in London last year.
Simmons’ new ‘Collection 6’ came in for rave reviews from PAUSE Magazine, whose scribe Amal AlTauqi hailed each piece as crafted with tactile finishes and strong, considered silhouettes.
Back in Gotham, where the wintertime brand shoot took place, the Jamaican model maintained composure even as he battled nature’s brutal elements. Herron had high praise for his photo subject’s work ethic.
“Romaine was a wonderful talent to shoot with. He was an upbeat team player despite the extremely cold conditions in New York on shoot day,” the London-based photog shared in a Living interview yesterday. “It had started snowing at one point, but we were always working towards the unified team goal to capture some great images.”
With Lower Manhattan brownstones and street intersections as visual backdrops for the menswear shoot, the below-30-degree weather required creative tinkering to keep Dixon relaxed in front of the camera. “We stuffed hot pocket sachets into Romaine’s shoes and gloves and clothing to try our best to keep him warm,” the lensman disclosed.
The English lensman and islander model developed an easy rapport on-set. “I loved chatting and hearing about Romaine and his wife Esmerdis’ work at their local church, alongside being a full-time model. He even invited me for a jog around Central Park,” Herron informed.
For Dixon, who is repped by Society Management in NYC, his first time working with the fast-rising designer left thoughtful imprints.
“I have never worked with the brand or Daniel before, but I love the clothes. I remember having a conversation with him about how he even started this brand, and he told me that it was because he wanted to make clothes that he would wear,” the New York-resident Dixon noted. “To be honest, I would wear his clothes too,” he said. “It is very much the style I am trying to create for myself. I am excited to get some pieces from the collection. I like the cashmere coat and the waxed jacket I wore for the shoot.”
Giving a nod of approval to Dixon’s latest assignment, SAINT International Chief Executive Officer Deiwght Peters told Living he was excited that his star model continues to be in demand.
“Romaine’s distinctive look and fantastic track record is going strong seven years later, after I discovered him and he debuted for Dior, Valentino and Balmain in Paris,” touted the model-maker.
“I am proud that he remains solidly professional and delivers aces for the clients he works with, from Fendi in Milan and H&M in Sweden, to now Daniel Simmons.”
A week into 2026, Dixon is intent on making good on New Year’s resolutions.
Reeling off a shortlist of to-dos, he said, “I want to be closer to God and help others to do so. Also, I would like to break into new markets in the modelling industry and, lastly, establish myself as a photographer. I want to do portrait photography like Peter Linderbergh, but I have been shooting my wife as my muse. I shoot her all the time.”
