Scores of Caribbean Community for Retired Persons (CCRP) members turned out for an entertaining 'Getting to Know You' St Patrick's Day social yesterday. The big brands came together to give the folks a rollicking good time - delicious eats from Tastee, LASCO-Guinness Stout punch, Wisynco/Ocean Spray juices and attractive gate prizes from Digicel and GraceKennedy.

Emcee Basil Dawkins, a new CCRP recruit, brought great humour to the occasion while hospitality chair Jean Small oversaw the proceedings. Songbird Sonia Wilmot had everyone singing Getting to Know You and the birthday folks were treated to free credit from Digicel. She was backed by Beryl Donaldson on keyboard. Deacon and Mrs Vincent Hemmings were applauded for recently celebrating their 62nd wedding anniversary.

Greetings were brought on behalf of the board by Syringa Marshall-Burnett and Aloun Assamba was cheered for her green outfit in honour of St Patrick's Day. The Caribbean Community of Retired Persons is an organisation geared at empowering seniors.
