FULHAM, England (CMC):

Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw scored two late goals to help Manchester City snatch victory from the jaws of defeat against Chelsea and book their spot in the Women’s FA Cup final here yesterday.

Goals by Erin Cuthbert and Sam Kerr looked set to carry Chelsea to a comfortable win, before strikes by Mary Fowler and Shaw’s brace led City to a sensational 3-2 victory in their semi-final clash at Stamford Bridge.

Cuthbert gave the home side an early 1-0 lead in the eighth minute, and Kerr doubled the advantage in the 59th minute to put them on course for victory.

However, with four minutes of normal time remaining, Mary Fowler pulled one back for City to give them hope of making a comeback.

Shaw then levelled the score in the first minute of stoppage time, before the Jamaican international stepped up again in the 13th minute of extra time to nod in the winning goal for the newly crowned Women’s Super League champions.

Chelsea tried their best to fight back, and City’s goalkeeper Khiara Keating needed to be sharp to tip Sjoeke Nusken’s header onto the crossbar.

City, who celebrated their first league title in a decade on Wednesday, will now chase its first domestic double in 10 years.
