Jamaica will not field a team in the women’s 4x400m relay at the World Athletics Indoor Championships after late withdrawals from the initial 32-athlete roster has scrapped the team’s relay pool.
Jamaica listed an initial relay pool including Nickisha Pryce, Shana Kaye Anderson, Leah Anderson, Kelly Ann Beckford, Natoya Goule-Toppin and schoolgirl athlete Shanoya Douglas.
However, Pryce and Douglas both redrew from the team, with JAAA announcing an updated roster without a women’s 4x400m relay pool.
Pryce was also selected to compete in the women’s individual 400m event.
Rivaldo Marshall also withdrew from the squad as he was slated to compete in the men’s 800m and was selected to compete in the men’s 4x400m relay pool.
The World Indoors is scheduled to be held in Toruń, Poland from March 20 to March 22.
