THE REGGAE Girlz put on a masterclass in goalscoring as they demolished Dominica 18-0 in their opening game of the Concacaf W Qualifiers at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground in St Lucia.

Hat-tricks each from Kiki Van Zanten (6th, 21st, 25th), Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw (4th, 39th, 43rd) and Jody Brown (9th, 35th, 82nd) led the way for Jamaica.

Deneisha Blackwood (51st, 89th), Shaneil Buckley (81st, 90+2) and Natasha Thomas (86th, 88th) contributed with braces alongside strikes from Konya Plummer (second), Atlanta Primus (12th) and Shania Hayles (90+1).

It did not take long for Jamaica to get on the scoresheet, as a corner routine saw Plummer darting into the box and finishing from close range in under two minutes.

Shaw immediately doubled the lead just a minute later, finishing off a Brown assist with a first-time finish.

The goal frenzy continued in the sixth minute as Van Zanten picked up a loose ball in the box and curled her shot around the goalkeeper.

Brown made it four in nine minutes as a poor defensive clearance landed in her lap and she fired home from close range.

Primus was the next player to add her name to the growing scoresheet as her low-driven effort from the top of the box flew through a crowd of bodies and into the back of the net.

Van Zanten got her second of the afternoon in the 21st minute, running on to a ball laid off by Shaw to finish to the left of the goalkeeper.

She completed her first-half hat-trick four minutes later after she picked up the ball from a short corner, before running at the goal and firing.

Her effort was deflected by the Dominican defence but she was credited with the goal.

Brown got her first-half brace as she headed home a pin-point delivery into the box by Naya Cardoza.

Shaw closed off the first half, snagging two goals before the whistle to round out a first-half hat-trick.

She was in the right place at the right time to finish from close range in the 39th minute, before scoring Jamaica’s 10th in the 43rd minute from a tight angle.

The second half brought more goals with Blackwood restarting the rout with a goal six minutes into the restart.

The rate of scoring would slow down as Jamaica went 30 minutes without a goal.

However, second-half substitute Buckley brought a new wave of energy into the game as she finished off an assist from Jaileah McPherson in the 81st minute.

The remaining nine minutes of the game saw Jamaica score six more goals as Brown completed her hat-trick in the 82nd.

Thomas scored a two-minute brace in the 86th and 88th before Blackwood got her brace with her second goal in the 89th.

Hayles bagged her first goal in national colours in time-added before Buckley snagged a brace with the final kick of the game.

The win puts Jamaica atop Group B with three points, level with Nicaragua, but Jamaica hold the advantage on goal difference with their 18 goals scored.

The Girlz will next face Nicaragua on March 2, 2026 in Managua.

The top team from the group will advance to the Concacaf W Championship where they will fight for a place in the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
