Ackera Nugent claims NCAA Division One sprint hurdles title

Former Excelsior High sprint hurdler, Ackera Nugent, is the new champion of the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Women's 100-metre hurdles after a splendid clocking of 12.25 seconds in a postive wind reading of 3.8 metres per second in Austin, Texas this evening.

Billed as the most competitive event of the Championships, the Universty of Arkansas athlete turned back collegiate leader, Massai Russell of the University of Kentucky, 12.32, and defending champion Alia Armstrong of LSU, 12.49.
