India tie ODI series after beating WI by 107 runs

VISAKHAPATNAM, India, (CMC):

India defeated West Indies by 107 runs in the second One-Day International of the three-match series at the ACA-VDCA Stadium here Wednesday.

Batting first, India made 387 for five off their 50 overs led by a massive 159 runs from Rohit Sharma 159, with KL Rahul supporting with 102.

Shreyas Iyer 53 and Rishabh Pant 39 also provided strong support with West Indies pacer Sheldon Cottrell getting 2-83 in a tough inning for the Caribbean bowlers.

In their reply the West Indies were dismissed for 280 off 43.3 overs with Shai Hope 78 and Nicholas Pooran 75 providing the most resistance.

Keemo Paul 46 not out and Evin Lewis 30 also had some amount of success against Kuldeep Yadav 3-52 and Mohammed Shami 2-39.

The win means that the series is now ties at 1-1 heading into Sunday's final ODI. 

The West Indies won the opening match in the series by eight wickets.
