CHAMPS 2015: 400m stars book space in finals
Medal favourites Akeem Bloomfield (Kingston College), Nathon Allen (St Jago), Martin Manley (St Jago) and Twayne Crooks (Kingston College) are all through to the final of the Class One 400m at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Athletics Championships inside the National Stadium.
Bloomfield, 46.60, is the fastest qualifier after getting the better of Jamaica College's Devaughn Baker, 48.47 and Robin Black (STETHS), 48.60 in his semi.
Allen, 46.62 was too strong for Crooks, 47.56 in their semi-final with Manley, 47.22 outlasting Jamaica College's Shawndail McLaren, 47.27 in his semi-final.
The final, one of the most anticipated event of the championships is set for 2:40 p.m.
In Class Two, Christopher Taylor was a class beyond, stopping the clock at 48.91 - the fastest time among qualifiers with STETHS' Jauavney James, 49.70, Sheldon Smith (Munro), 49.15, Calabar's Anthony Carpenter, 49.38 all advancing.
