Paulwell celebrates 54 in style
It was that time of year again for a celebration of another milestone. On Saturday, January 9, member of parliament for Kingston East and Port Royal, Phillip Paulwell, celebrated his birthday in fine style and with friends and family at Fort Charles.
Most of the guests came out in their orange to support the minister who officially turned 54 on January 14. Among those who were out to celebrate with him was Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller and her husband Errald, as well as Paulwell's daughter, Terry-Ann. He cut the cake with a group of women whom he stated have been very influential in his life.
Hosts Fae Ellington and Minister Andre Hylton, kept the formalities pleasantly short and sweet. Paulwell gave his usual greeting and thanked not only his supporters but his friends, announcing that unfortunately he would not be at Carnival this year, so his party would have to be a compilation of both. He set the pace with Simpson Miller and the guests followed suit, dancing up a storm.
