St Elizabeth farmer charged after allegedly pulling gun during dispute
A 35-year-old St Elizabeth farmer has been charged after he allegedly pulled a gun on another man during a dispute in August last year.
He is Canigga Campbell, of Slipe district.
He was held on Saturday and later charged with assault at common law and possession of a prohibited weapon, a police statement said on Sunday.
According to the police, the incident occurred at about 2 a.m. on August 22, 2025, when Campbell and another man became involved in an argument.
Police reported that during the dispute, Campbell allegedly removed a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the man.
A report was subsequently made to the police, triggering an investigation.
Investigators later applied for and obtained a warrant for Campbell’s arrest. He was taken into custody on February 7.
