Detectives assigned to the Kingston Western Criminal Investigations Branch have charged a man who reportedly shot at another man with whom he had a dispute.

Twenty-five-year-old Lenroy Collins, otherwise called ‘Great Man', or ‘Lenny Mattic', of Gordon Road in Kingston, is charged with shooting with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorised possession of ammunition following an incident at the intersection of Paisley Road and Slipe Pen Road, in the parish on September 2.

The Denham Town police say about 8:20 p.m., a man was walking along the roadway when he was pounced upon by Collins, with whom he had a prior dispute.

It is alleged that Collins brandished a firearm and opened gunfire at the man, who managed to escape without injuries and reported the incident to the police.

Following an investigation, Collins was taken into custody and subsequently charged following a question and answer session.

His court date is being finalised.
