Man killed after car crashes into concrete column in St Catherine

The St Catherine North Traffic Department is investigating the death of a 34-year-old man following a crash along the Spanish Town Bypass on Wednesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Rashawn Jones of Woodpecker Drive, Kingston 11.
Reports are that about 10 p.m., Jones was driving a Toyota Hiace motor truck towards Angels when it slammed into a concrete column in the vicinity of El Prado Housing Scheme.
The impact caused extensive damage to the vehicle while Jones suffered severe head injuries.
He was taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
