Heavy rains cause flooding in sections of Corporate Area

Motorists in the Corporate Area are being encouraged to travel with caution due to flooding.
Heavy rains have left several roads under water.
Videos posted online show flooding in areas such as Half-Way Tree, Cross Roads and New Kingston.
Drivers are being advised to use alternative routes where possible.
This afternoon, the Met Office reported that a tropical wave is projected to be west of the island by later this evening.
By Saturday, a trough is expected to develop across Jamaica and persist through early next week.
The forecast for Saturday morning is partly cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms across most parishes in the afternoon and evening.
