Five more COVID deaths, 315 additional infections

Jamaica on Friday recorded five more COVID deaths pushing the tally to 1,219.

At the same time, there were 315 new infections.

Latest deaths  
An 82-year-old woman from Kingston and St Andrew
A 68-year-old man from Kingston and St Andrew
A 49-year-old man from Kingston and St Andrew
A 67-year-old man from St Ann
A 97-year-old man from Manchester

Of the parishes recording new cases, Kingston and St Andrew were ahead with 91.

St Ann - 25
St Elizabeth - 23
Hanover - 18
Clarendon - 14
Trelawny - 7
St Thomas - 6
Manchester - 5

St Mary - 1

Overall, Jamaica has seen 54,480 confirmed COVID cases.

Meanwhile, hospitalisations have gone up.

As at Friday, 256 people were in a hospital with 56 moderately ill and 28 critical.
