Tesha Miller denied bail

The reputed leader of the Spanish Town-based Clansman gang Tesha Miller, who is charged with murder, has been denied bail.

Miller is charged with accessory before and after the fact in relation to the murder of former Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) chairman Douglas Chambers at the JUTC's complex in Spanish Town, Catherine on April 27, 2008.

The bail application, which was made by his attorney Bert Samuels, was refused by Chief Justice Bryan Sykes in the Home Circuit Court in downtown Kingston just after midday.

Miller is to return to court on March 19, 2019.

During the proceedings, the prosecution disclosed that it will be making a special measures application to allow two witnesses to testify via video link.
