Why the Keith Clarke murder trial could be postponed again

There are indications that the trial of the three Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) soldiers charged with the murder businessman Keith Clarke may again stall in the Home Circuit Court.
The trial of Lance Corporals Greg Tingling and Odel Buckley and Private Arnold Henry is scheduled to start today.
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has indicated that it is ready to proceed.
However, Linton Gordon, the attorney representing the soldiers, is one of several lawyers representing the JDF at the west Kingston Commission of Enquiry which is scheduled to resume next Monday.
This could mean a scheduling clash for Gordon.

Clarke was shot several times inside his home in East Kirkland Heights, St Andrew by members of the security forces in May 2010.
They were in search of then fugitive Christopher Dudus Coke.
A post-mortem report indicated that Clarke, who was the brother of former government minister Claude Clarke, was shot 20 times, with the majority of the wounds located on his back.
