It wasn’t the result Jamaicans hoped for. Fans packed the National Stadium in a sea of yellow, cheering on the Reggae Boyz in their must-win clash against Curaçao.

But, after 90 tense minutes and five added, the Boyz were held to a scoreless draw — missing automatic World Cup qualification by a single point. Still, the energy in the stands told its own story, right down to the final whistle.

As the Reggae Boyz prepare for a second and only shot at qualifying through the intercontinental play-offs, the nation’s hope remains alive.
