It’s often said that alone, we can do so little – but together, we can do so much. For Amanda Fisher and Kevin Chung, this couldn’t have been more true. What started as a study group during real estate school quickly turned into something deeper – a connection that blossomed into a romantic relationship and, years later, a beautiful spring-inspired wedding.

Initially, Amanda believed her bubbly, extroverted personality wouldn’t be seen as an attractive quality to Kevin, given his quieter nature. But the opposite happened.

“I met my wife in real estate class April 3, 2017. She was sitting on the other side of the class room but her aura was visible to all. Her glow spread throughout the room and her presence was felt. I invited her for lunch and my soul was bonded from there on,” he told Island Wedding.

After their study group sessions, Kevin would take Amanda home and it was there that they shared more similarities than she thought. “We got to talking and realised we were more alike when it came to our goals and aspirations. We started off as friends and then it progressed into some more,” Amanda said.

The pair hit it off so well that, just three months later, their friendship seamlessly transitioned into a relationship.

Since then, Amanda has admired how loyal, kind, intelligent, delicate yet manly and devoted her soulmate is. “Kevin has grounded me in the sense that I am way more focused and I’m now taking it one step at a time in everything I do. He pays attention to me as his leading lady. And he made it clear that he wanted to get to know me better from early on. It took me a little longer to get there,” she revealed.

As a couple, they enjoy Latin dancing, Netflix, gym sessions, and travelling. While Amanda can’t pinpoint when she knew Kevin was “the one,” she felt the spark when he asked her to move in after six months, and she immediately said yes.

Amanda continues to enchant Kevin with her beauty. It also helps that she is loving, creative, ambitious and understanding.

“She has helped me learn to be patient with love, to not be too blunt with people I interact with because it may come off the wrong way; to enjoy the little moments in life; to let go of things and people who are stuck on failure; and to forgive myself whenever I mess up on things that I know I shouldn’t have,” he highlighted.

He continued by noting, “She is more affectionate so she has nurtured the relationship in that sense. She is also more bubbly and creates balance when I am lacking in that regard. From back then, I thought she was the one I could build an empire with.”

So after five years of courtship, Kevin asked the love of his life to be his wife.

“I had secretly bought the ring through my brother, so as to not give away any suspicion. Then I waited until Valentine’s Day in 2022. We had worked and it was a rough day. When we got home and showered, she was in front of the dresser getting ready when I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me,” he recalled.

With Amanda running her own events planning company, Party Blasters Pro, it was only fitting that she planned their wedding. “We planned and designed our big day according to how our relationship seemed to us: whimsically beautiful,” she said.

On February 15, in the midst of the widely celebrated love season, specially invited guests were invited to a breathtaking oasis in full bloom at the Rio Nuevo Village in St Mary to witness the matrimonial union of Kevin and Amanda Chung.

Under the theme ‘forever spring’, the groom explained that they chose this ‘floralscape’, “... to capture the essence of our love always in bloom. The goal is to always bloom in every aspect of life in order to grow individually and together with energy, health, confidence, beauty and love.”

He went on to state that the wedding was a representation of the couple sharing their lives together and creating memories that will be treasured forever. “Forever has allowed us to bloom in every aspect of our life and our relationship. Every moment with my wife at our wedding was cherished with each having its own preciousness.”

For the beautiful bride, who confessed that their fairytale wedding was all she had hoped for and more, her best moments came while walking up the aisle to see her groom and during their first dance as newly-weds.

“We waltzed to Die With A Smile by [Lady Gaga and] Bruno Mars. At that moment, while melting into his arms, there was no noise, no lights, no audience, just us, basking in nuptial bliss,” Mrs Chung reflected.
