Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication
One of the most genuine manifestations of respect is to actually listen to what others have to say.
This house is talking to us, and all we have to do is listen.
It speaks about the simplicity of its no-frills architectural language within an environment that hugs you with every ounce of its captivating scenery.
A snug, informal, hillside cottage, built entirely from wood, with cedar walls, ceilings, and floors.
The countrified building has two levels, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms.
A kitchenette, with a breakfast bar, greets us, and a small sitting room opens via French doors to the open observation deck, taking in the sea, mountain, and golf course views. A patio elsewhere provides an area to unwind and recharge.
The inside walls and ceilings bring immense delight, telling their stories with beautifully painted murals of bamboo, jungle, and starry-night heavenly themes, adding an interesting dimension to the interior.
Communication passionately continues, with, possibly, the most appealing part of the tropical property, the outdoors, which may leave you speechless. The multiple fruit trees and flowering gardens in terraced landscaping are part of a heavily wooded area. Water flows and settles, creating a pond, and adding additional visual upliftment to all who behold its wonders. A baby powder white-sand beach nearby is yours to enjoy privately.
This house was originally the gardeners’ tiny accommodation, part of a larger residence, but the new owners, in 2011, substantially added to the structure, changing its overall character.
We remember Leonardo Da Vinci’s famous quote: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”
The house has spoken.
We have listened, and we have heard.
We say thanks for inviting us in and sharing its design vocabulary.
