India’s win

THE EDITOR, Madam:

It seems that India has won the heart of the Trump Administration lately. The US government has surprisingly reduced India’s export tariffs of goods from a high of 50 percent to just 18 percent with the view that India buys their crude oil from them and eventually from Venezuela rather than from dependency on Russia.

The US also wants to boost India’s economy by increasing their drive in producing the likes of leather goods, jewellery, pharmaceuticals, mobile phones into their market in a bid of moving away from the likes of the republic of China who continue to dominate the world with their goods.

Times are rapidly changing. Interesting times are ahead..
