Divorce granted in three months!

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I write to congratulate Chief Justice Bryan Sykes, justice minister Delroy Chuck, and the entire team of the Matrimonial Division of the Supreme Court on the excellent improvements. Last year, I used to receive decrees absolute within six months, and now, I am receiving them within three months. Yes, three months from filing to completion once you submit error-free documents!

Even the dreaded requisitions are being received in one day via email as opposed to months! Decrees absolute are being signed within a week of filing.

Also, I have received emails on Saturdays from the registrar to advise that my decrees absolute have been signed, and the following week, signed copies of the said decrees absolute have been scanned and emailed to me! WOW! This is really first-class service.

I am truly hopeful that if we continue on this path, in the very near future, we will have a First-World justice system. As Governor General Sir Patrick Allen said, "There is nothing wrong with Jamaica that what is right with Jamaica cannot fix!"

This is what we can achieve when we have good leadership and we all work together to make Jamaica the place of choice to live, work, raise families, and do business.
