Cardi B is no longer set to perform at BZR WKND (Bizarre Weekend) Jamaica, just 10 days before she was scheduled to take the stage at the National Stadium. Her representatives confirmed the change to Billboard on Thursday. No reason was given.

“Cardi B will not be performing at BZR WKND Jamaica on October 18, 2026,” her representatives told Billboard.

The representatives said Cardi B appreciates the love and support from her Jamaican fans and hopes to see them in the future. They directed questions about the status of BZR WKND Jamaica, ticketing and other event-related matters to the organisers, while saying information about Cardi B’s future performances would be communicated exclusively through her official channels.

The withdrawal comes after months of anticipation surrounding Cardi B’s Jamaican debut.

The rapper was announced as the headline act earlier this summer, with her appearance positioned as one of the major attractions of the four-day festival celebrating music, culture, food, tourism, fashion and entertainment.

At the BZR WKND media launch in August at the AC Hotel Kingston, the booking was celebrated as organisers looked ahead to Cardi B’s October performance.

Speaking to The Gleaner at the media launch, Cardi B’s manager, Kelvin Santiago, said the rapper was excited about performing for Jamaican fans.

“She’s very excited. It’s her first stadium show that she’s ever done and her first show here. So, we’re excited. Can’t wait,” Santiago said.

The performance was also expected to mark Cardi B’s first stadium show on the island.

Promoter Gramps Morgan had also promised a production on par with BZR WKND’s previous staging, which featured Chris Brown.

Since Cardi B was announced, the line-up had expanded to include international R&B singer Keyshia Cole, while dancehall artiste Spice was named host. Jamaican artistes Shaneil Muir, Malie Donn and Ding Dong were also added to the bill.
