Captain Roston Chase claimed his first five-wicket haul as skipper and Jamaican opener Brandon King scored an unbeaten half century as the West Indies completed an impressive 8-wicket win over Bangladesh on day four of their first Test match in Dhaka on Saturday.
Chase finished with figures of five wickets for 35 runs for the fifth five-wicket haul of his career as Bangladesh were bowled out for 142 runs in their second innings, setting the West Indies a target of 170 runs for victory.
Chase joins the late Sir Garfield Sobers, Carl Hooper and Jason Holder as the only West Indies players with 2,800-plus runs and 100 wickets in Test cricket.
King scored an unbeaten 81 and shared in a 112-run opening partnership with John Campbell (49 runs), as the Caribbean team reached their target of 170 with ease, losing only two wickets.
West Indies vice-captain and left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican followed his 5-53 performance in the first innings with 4 for 63 in the second innings.
