Police seize shotgun, 50 rounds of ammunition in Manchester

The police seized 50 rounds of ammunition and a firearm during an operation along Hope Avenue in Land Settlement, Manchester.
No arrests were made.
According to reports from the Mandeville police, at about 3:35 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, a police team conducting an operation in the area came under gunfire from two men.
The police say the cops returned fire, prompting the gunmen to flee.
They say a subsequent search of the area led to the seizure of a Remington 12-gauge shotgun and 50 rounds of 12-gauge ammunition.
No member of the police team was injured during the incident.
Investigations are ongoing.
