Promoter killed, another man injured in shooting at St Catherine party

The police are investigating the killing of a man and the shooting of another during a party in Tryall Heights, St Catherine early Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Lamore White, otherwise called 'Biggie', a 43-year-old promoter of Tryall Heights, St Catherine.
Reports are that about 2:50 a.m., a party was being held at Red Car Wash in the community, with music being played from a private motor car.
At the end of the event, while equipment was being packed up, explosions were heard and patrons began to disperse.
When the commotion subsided, one man was seen suffering from gunshot wounds to the buttocks and groin. Further checks of nearby bushes led to the discovery of White’s body.
Police were summoned and it was observed that White had what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the head and upper body.
The injured 40-year-old man was admitted to the Spanish Town Hospital for treatment, while White was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch has launched a probe into the incident.
