Man dies after being hit, trapped under car in St James

Investigators assigned to the St James Traffic Division are probing the death of an unidentified man along the Long Bay main road on Monday.
Reports from the Barrett Town police are that about 10:15 p.m., a man was driving a Honda Fit motor car in a westerly direction along the roadway when another man ran out and sat on the roadway.
The driver attempted to swerve but collided with him, resulting in the man being trapped under the vehicle.
The police were alerted, and the injured man was transported to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation continues.
