US Senator Edward M. Kennedy has been released from hospital after suffering a seizure at President Barack Obama’s inauguration luncheon yesterday.

Kennedy\'s office has confirmed that the senator left Washington Hospital Center, where he had been resting overnight for observation.

A Kennedy representative, said the Massachusetts senator is in good spirits and that doctors wanted him to get some rest.

Yesterday doctors said the seizure was a result of fatigue.

The 76 year old Democrat was diagnosed last May with a particularly aggressive type of brain tumor and has been treated with surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.
