A United States judge has dismissed most of the federal corruption charges against Puerto Rico\'s governor Anibal Acevedo Vila.
According to Mr. Acevedo Vila\'s lawyer, the judge threw out 15 of the 24 charges against his client, which relate to alleged campaign violations.
Mr. Acevedo Vila, who lost a bid for a second term as governor in last month’s elections, faces trial next February.
He has denied any wrongdoing.
