BEACH VOLLEYBALL: Big boost for Jamaica ahead of Championships

World-renowned Brazilian volleyball coach Jacqueline Silva will accompany Jamaica’s team to the July 11-14 Under-19 Beach Volleyball World Championships in Portugal.



The national association in Brazil will cover the expense of Silva.



Silva, who currently coaches Brazil’s Junior National Team, was in Jamaica from May 29 to June 6 to provide technical assistance to the squad.



Rojey Hutchinson, Shavar Bryan, Tionna Graham and Lisanne Roofe will represent Jamaica.



The players benefited from a weeklong training camp in Brazil.



The team departs Jamaica tomorrow for Portugal.
