Devon House renovation will cost over $50 million

Tourism Minister, Edmund Bartlett said the renovation work on Devon House slated to begin this month, will cost more than $50 million.
The Tourism Enhancement Fund and other sources will finance the programme.
Mr. Bartlett will meet with stakeholders and the chairperson of the Devon House Board, Carla Seaga to assess the specific areas for renovation and to discuss the additional sources of funding.
The renovation of the house and garden is scheduled for completion within the next three months, while the shops and restaurants scheduled for April.
According to Mr. Bartlett, the restoration programme is the first step in making Kingston the desired destination for tourists.
