Indian woman beheads rapist

A woman in northern India has admitted to chopping off the head of a man who she said tried to rape her.
The 35 year old woman said she had been cutting grass in a field when the man tried to attack her.
She said she hit him with her sickle.
The woman claims the man had been harassing and stalking her for some time.
She said she went to the police station after the incident.
Police chief of Lakhimpur Khiri district, Ram Bharose, said the matter is being investigated.
He said the woman had a legal right to defend herself against rape and sexual attacks.
