BARCELONA, Spain:
Wolmer’s Boys student Christoff Bryan has recovered from a bout of diarrhoea from which he had been suffering since arriving in Barcelona, Spain for the 14th IAAF World Junior Championships, which runs from July 10 to 15.
“I have had running belly, but it has gotten better so I am just resting up and getting ready,” Bryan said.
The high jumper is down to compete on Wednesday’s second day.
It is not known if Bryan’s illness was in anyway related to the food he has eaten since arriving in Barcelona on Friday.
Coach Michael Carr has revealed however that the athletes are not fond of the European-style food.
“Of course normally the food is a problem,” Carr informed.
“We are working our way out, but the organization has been quite good from the home country and we have no complaints right now,” he added.
