Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has described the power sharing deal between his party and the opposition as a humiliation.

Under the deal which was brokered on Monday, Mugabe will serve as the country’s President, while opposition leader Morgan Tsvangarai will act as Prime Minister.

Mugabe has expressed his disappointment with the agreement, but said the party had no alternative after losing the March parliamentary elections.

Mugabe is expected to meet Prime Minister-designate Morgan Tsvangirai to discuss the allocation of ministerial posts under the deal.

Former Justice Minister, Patrick Chinamasa, said a new cabinet could be decided by the end of the day.
