Dominica receives US$279,000

Dominica has received US$279,000 in insurance money following last month’s earthquake.



The money represents half of the full sum expected under the Caribbean Catastrophic Risk Insurance Facility (CCRIF).



The earthquake, which measured 7.3 on the Richter scale, caused damage to Dominica, St. Lucia, Guadeloupe and other countries in the Eastern Caribbean.
