US citizenship and immigration services office to close on March 28 and 31

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) office of the Department of Homeland Security with its office at the US Embassy in Kingston, will be closed to the Jamaican public on Monday, March 28, and Thursday March 31.



In a press release from the US Embassy today, it said all other parts of the U.S. Mission, including the Consular section, will be open for normal business hours.



Those with visa appointments should report to the embassy at the appointed time.



Members of the public, who have a US Immigration emergency on the closure dates indicated, are asked to contact the Embassy through its switch-board number at (876) 702-6000.



All other parts of the U.S. Mission, including the Consular Section (Visas), will be open.
