2 Haitian Militia members get life

Two members of a Haitian Militia have been given life sentences for the 2001 murder of journalist Brignol Lindor.
They are Joubert St. Juste and Jean-Rémy Démosthène.
The press freedom organisation, Reporters Without Borders, expressed satisfaction with the sentences of the men.
The men will be transferred to the national penitentiary in Port-au-Prince to serve their sentences.
In a statement to the press Judge Emmanuel Tataye gave six other gang members until 16 December to surrender.
