John Mills surge ahead after opening day

Defending champions John Mills have hold on to their lead as day two of the three-day Institute of Sports-sponsored Junior High School Athletics Championships at the National Stadium is coming to a close.
After nine of 10 finals John Mills have surged to 106 points, 34 ahead of second place Windward Road on 72.
Calabar 33-and-a-half, Mico Practicing 23 and Cockburn Gardens 16 complete the top five.
Today’s second day belonged to Shaquille McLeod of John Mills, who won the Boys’ Class 1 Long Jump final with a record leap of 6.07 metres. Dabari Spence of Mico Practising was second with a leap of 5.89 metres.
John Mills are seeking their 16th straight victory.
