More than 50 Zimbabwean opposition supporters have been arrested after staging a strike yesterday.

The police have accused the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), of inciting violence with their strike call in protest against the delayed poll results.

According to BBC correspondents, the strike had little impact as 80 percent of Zimbabweans are without a job.

The MDC\'s national executive is to meet to decide whether to continue with further strike action

The poll crisis is to be discussed at a United Nations Security Council session to be attended by some African leaders.
