Eltham defeat St. Jago

Eltham High defeated hosts St. Jago High by eight wickets yesterday to qualify for the final of the ISSA/Jamaica International Insurance Company knockout cricket competition.



Chasing 192 for victory, Eltham High reached the target with nine point 3 overs remaining with opening batsman Shawn Harris scoring an unbeaten 107.



Earlier, left-arm spin bowler Frederick Ermitt bagged five for 31 to restrict St. Jago to 191 in 49.5 overs.



He received good support from leg spinner Sanjay Watson and off spinner Romeo Dunca with two wickets each.



Ramon Reid top scored for St. Jago with 39, while Aaron Daley Junior chipped in with 29.



Eltham High will meet Waterford in the final scheduled for Thursday at a venue to be announced.



Eltham High have already won the Grace Shield Premier League.
