$18m to stage Champs

It will cost the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA), $18.3 million to stage the March 12 to 15 GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Athletics Championships.



With just under a month before the championships, GraceKennedy has gifted $15 million, which represents the second installment of the company’s three-year committment.



Last year, the event cost $13 million to run the championships, with GraceKennedy contributing $14 million from its three-year budget of $42 million.



For the first two days of the championships, only the Grand Stand at the National Stadium will be opened.



Adult tickets will cost $200, while children will pay $50. On Friday, the cost will be $1,100 for the Grand Stand and $350 for the Bleachers.



On Saturday, patrons will pay $1,500 for the Grand Stand and $700 for the Bleacher’s.



Season tickets will cost $2,200 each.
