Tomorrow becomes today

Today becomes yesterday.

Tomorrow becomes today.

Embrace the now.

Enjoy the show.

Today is the present.

The most beautiful gift present.

The past is yesterday.

The future is today.

What you do today, shapes the future.

The past, present and future is a continuum.

More powerful than beryllium.

The past is to survive.

The future is to thrive.

The past is a guide, it’s a reference point.

The past reveals who you were.

The present shows you who you are.

The future tells who you will become.

Embrace the journey.

Don’t fear the unknown.

Life is measured by the past, present and future.

Life is a gamble.

Life comes with risks, threats and opportunities.

Life is a chance to serve the purpose you were created for.

And the Supreme Creator is the author and finisher of it all.

Three Sparrows in the Tree

Up high in the morning mist,

Three sparrows surf swiftly

In a fallen tree.

They rush like a racing flock

As they hasten to taste

What seems to remain

After the terrifying Hurricane.

They sing as they gather

Seeds, berries, fruits,

And what seems to be

The leftovers of Hurricane Melissa

That came off the sea.

Long have they endured

The loss of berries, fruits, nuts,

Seeds and grain,

All swept away by the previous hurricane

In 2024.

They gather berries, fruits and seeds

From branch to branch,

As they sing a song of recovery

And dance a happy dance.

One after another,

They gather leaves, straw and sticks

To build a cosy winter home

In which to nestle.

The three sparrows in the tree

Remind us of Emancipation

And of the journey to Independence,

When Jamaica gained its freedom

From the British Crown.

The three sparrows in the tree,

Strong and determined,

Teach us that after every storm

There can be renewal, hope

And a reason to sing again.
