It was for most a very confusing yuletide season, caught as many were between the gung-ho attitude of those on the political hustings and those, on the other hand, who were just trying to maximise the spirit of Christmas. The fact that there's a worldwide economic downturn did not help the fortunes of many and even predicated a reversal of fortunes, which saw little or no disposable income to accommodate lavish entertaining or partying, it was adding up to be one droll Christmas.

Well, that was before December 24 and the staging of the annual Christmas Eve celebration by the Kingsley Cooper-led Pulse in the fabulous gardens of Villa Ronai, Old Stony Hill, St Andrew. Here the climate is known to get so chilly during the Christmas season, the residents have been known to don winter gear to stay warm.

Anyway my dears, enter the annual Pulse fabfest, and the social juices were once again flowing for chicksters, fashionistas, and the kings of swagger. The much-anticipated Pulse Christmas Eve do was on, and the city's fab crowd was abuzz in joyful anticipation. It was beginning to look a lot like the 'Gringe' had stolen Christmas, or most certainly, its spirit! Anyways my darling dears, as they say, 'All's well, that ends well'.

And so it was, that with the fab and the style denizens, celebs, and the up-and-coming, not to mention modelling and social hopefuls and others were all hankering to dance out of the humdrum and into the spotlight of grandeur. And honeys, that is what partying at Christmas Eve with Pulse is all about.

Dears, this was no ordinary party and, after all, no one expected it to be. This was the signature season event as the fab came to party and party they did, way into Christmas morning, and then some!

Dears, it was just what the doctor ordered and with DJ Duey revving up the ante with some simply def tunes, spanning the musical genres, it translated to one swaggeriffic outing and fabulously so!

What a party!

Pumpkins, it was the social outing of the season, with guests jetting in from all over the globe toshare in and make the event one fab, fabest and nothing but!

Luvs, we are talking a fabdom here of the highest order, as mini-skirted lassies danced to their favourite hot new tunes; their squires buffed and decked out like peacocks in the latest threads. They partied with a roving eye, while for others, the gardens and poolside provided the perfect ambience for the ultimate cocktail reception or reprise!

This was one fab party with fabulous finger foods served up by dancing waitresses; the bar served as the fount of all party elixir and the company running the gamut from ditzy to erudite and lettered, not to mention glamorous mavens and doyennes.

My dears, definitely an earth-moving tenner on the social Richter scale. Among those out partying were Member of Parliament Phillip Paulwell, Justices Hilary Phillips, Ingrid Mangatal and Nicole Simmons, Senegalese Ambassador Dr Nafissato Diagne, James Samuels, Dr Michael Banbury, Professor Dr Carolyn Cooper, attorney Donnette Cooper in from Washington DC, Professor Hubert Devonish and wife attorney Carol Davis; Dr Leachim Semaj and his fab wife Cecile, Mutabaruka and the elegant Jackie Mutamba Cohen; Lloyd Tomlinson, Johnny Hamilton, the elegant Gilou Bauer, Harry and Ann Marie Smith, Vitus Evans, the charmingly lovely Kay Osborne, Ribbie Chung, Kathryn Phipps, Pat Tomlinson and wife Suzette Smellie-Tomlinson, Colin and Kay Smith and Oliver Magnus.

Also out were the lovely Myrtha Désulmé; Wesley Saulter; Dollis Campbell looking as fab as ever, artist Andy Jefferson, Donovan Kong and Marlene Williams, siblings Cecile and Rosemarie Sutherland, Debbie Dewar, Tomlin Ellis, the stunning Nurma James, Adrian and Nathalie St Louis, the lovely Laura Butler, Robert Haughton, Bertina McCauley, the fab KimMarie Spence, Wilfred Bagaloo, Claudia McGann, the sultry Millicent Lynch, Dennis Lee and the fab Ingrid Hamilton, Alex Dropinski, Sven and Tracey Voelk, Charl Baker, Moira DeLisser, the lovely Judith Alberga, Marcia Reid and her daughter Safia Cooper, her sibling and Carol Reid, also out and partying up a storm - Sophia Butler, Marlene Williams, Caroline Matthews, Nadine Parks and Marsha Wilson-Maxwell.

We spotted former Canadian sprint world champ Donovan Bailey; actor Glen Campbell; supermodels Nell Robinson, Jaunel McKenzie, Carla Campbell and Rheshima Hemmings; flavour of the season, Pulse Model Search 2011 queen Fiona Davis; Jessica Myers Fuller, the dapper Jason Robinson; the fab Victoria Tavares-Finson, Kanhai Condison, Ai Irasawa, designers Marcia Nicely and Arlene Martin-Spencer, Sonia Noel in from Guyana; David and Tracey Johnson, who jetted in from Hong Kong for the Christmas celebrations; the charming Hortense Waul, in from Connecticut; Oneil Hamilton, in from Washington DC, and wife Pamela Coke-Hamilton, head of the Caribbean Export Development Agency, in from Barbados; Dr Clive Hamilton, in from Connecticut; Denise Waul, in from Florida; Michael Waul, Rhodes scholar in from Oxford for the celebration; Dr Kurt Waul, also in from Connecticut; model Tasmin Golding, in from London; plus scores more.
