My daahlings, it's that time of the year again, when it's all about packing as much partying into the summer holidays as one possibly can.

And luvs, there's no place to party like Negril, Jamaica, and the young and hearty are all heading there for the Emancipation weekend. Meanwhile, their parents and guardians head in the opposite direction for the laid-back climes and vibes of Port Antonio and its environs! Dears, in Negril, it will be all about the Smirnoff Dream Weekend - and here we are talking an orgy of fab parties, at least seven major ones, for the hordes of young descending on the resort mecca. It starts today and continues into Monday night.

But that, my dears, is only a half of the story, as away from the hustle and bustle of the official party roster, there will be countless other fêtes and soirees from Long Bay straight to Sav-la-Mar, hosted by the 'cool crowd' who have decided to host their own dos to avoid the party-gridlock!

And speaking of gridlock, it will be just that as the bumper crowd of revellers have gobbled up every available room and board in Negril, leaving many traditional vacationers totally out of sorts, as there's no room at the inn. And everybody's favourite prime-time resort and party capital of Negril, Hedonism II, has even had queries from desperate would-be partiers, seeking lodging on the beach of the resort.

This is when they were told the property and its sister property next door - Superclubs Breezes Grand Negril - were solidly and completely booked for the weekend and beyond! Meanwhile, over in Port Antonio, there's a rush on for premium accommodation as all the preferred villas are just as solidly booked, with would-be guests now in a tizzy as to where exactly to board for the weekend!

And, speaking of Negril and the fab SuperClubs Breezes Grand Negril, my daahlings, if y'all missed Good Morning America on ABC on Wednesday, then y'all missed a great opportunity to scoop a fabulous deal. Viewers were offered a super deal as SuperClubs scored a fab public relations and promotional TV coup for both Jamaica and the resort, when they were included in the show's "Great Deals" segment. Dears, with a viewership numbered in the multi-millions, viewers were offered an exclusive deal of 60 per cent off in a 60-hour sale that could see lucky guests securing accommodation for as little as US$82 per person, dependent on choice of rooms at the hotel. And the sale, which got underway on Wednesday, ends tonight at midnight, and is open to all including Jamaicans. So y'all know, with such a deal, Breezes Grand Negril is the resort of choice for this weekend and beyond!

Seafood Festival

Then come next Saturday, it will be all about the Ocho Rios Seafood Festival at the Turtle River Park in the picturesque north coast resort town, the fifth annual staging of this culinary outing and style event. With chief organiser Garwin Davis pulling out all stops to ensure a fab family-style outing, y'all know we are talking a must-attend for the Independence weekend, and nothing but. And with lobster in season and the promise of loads of other seafood goodies and fab entertainment, honeys, y'all know where this scribe will be!

And mon congrats to Dr Freddie Hickling, professor of medicine and psychiatry, on being named Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. A most deserving appointment and testament to yet another Jamaican shining internationally!

Then happy birthday wishes to: former parliamentarian Jennifer Edwards; the fab Pamela Neita-Lawson; Marcia Frith-Kohler, in Ocho Rios; Horatio Bennett, in Georgia; and Akil Semaj Campbell, now in Raleigh, North Carolina, who all celebrate their birthday today. Tomorrow: the fab Tracey Hamilton Johnson, now in Hong Kong; the lovely Denise Sangster, in Florida; the lovely Betty McEntire, in Naples, Florida; the fab Darlene Rhoden, in Toronto, Canada and; the fab Gwen Williams, in Mount Vernon, New York, will make it a special day of celebration.

On Sunday: the elegant Beverley Sutherland-Lewis; William Massias; the engagingly charming Julia Lowe, 'Lotto', to her friends; George Rattary, in Freeport, New York, and Ted Conlon, in Hamstead, Maryland all share the same birthday.

On Monday: international legal consultant Harold Brady celebrates his very special day. Also celebrating will be: the lovely Alex Ghisays of Couples Resorts; Richard Parchment; the beautiful Pat Williams-Bignall; Matt Gross, in Brooklyn, New York; the lovely Stephanie Stevens, in Boston, and north coast habitué of Milton-Freewater in Oregon, Rick Saager. The very charmingly fab Pauline Edie, 'Irie', to her friends, celebrates her special day on Tuesday, as will G2K's Delano Seiveright; hot radio jock and musical hot stuff DJ Sunshine; the lovely Andrea Davis; Avanna King, in Queens, New York; and north coast habitué, the party-hearty Melissa Merlo, of Washington, DC.

Celebrating on Wednesday are: culinary doyenne and events planner extraordinaire Jacqui Tyson; patron of the arts Tania Nethersole; premier chef, caterer and events planner, the lovely Anna-Kay Zaidie Lazarus; the charming Karen Peart; Leeroy Williams, of Lloydjam Promotions in Montego Bay, and Pulse model, the lovely Rishielle Giscombe, now in Queens, New York, all share the same birthday. On Thursday: the fab Sacha Shaw, daughter of Finance Minister Audley Shaw; and Roxroy Rodney, in the UK, share a birthday.

Many happy returns y'all, with champagne toasts and beluga treats.
